Gustin’s Diamond D Gelbvieh 2008 Sale Report
56 bulls averaged $3065
10 Balancer bred heifers averaged $2665
Gustin’s Diamond D Gelbvieh was blessed with beautiful weather, a great crowd, and a strong sale from start to finish this year.
Topping the sale was an outstanding Glacier Chateau red Balancer, DDGR Pacesetter 13T, that sold to the Eslinger Brothers at Elgin, ND for $5400. DDGR 72T, another strong Glacier Chateau red Balancer out of a Dam of Distinction, went to John Trygg of Baldwin, ND for $4900. A homozygous black purebred by OZZ Govenor 3N, DDGR Liberty 68T, was the next high seller at $4800, going to Tom Waldock of Parshall, ND.
The Balancer bred heifers topped at $3300 on CMR Sally 19S, going to Rodney Meckle of Center, ND. She is a super deep sided daughter of EGL Frontier, carrying a bull calf by the Gelbvieh bull, JBOB Junior. Second high seller, going to Gabe Brown of Bismarck, ND, was DDGR Bridget 81S, a red Balancer by Bieber Make Mimi, due with a heifer calf by the Gelbvieh National Champion sire, JRI Heavy Equipment.
