They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Our outstanding Gelbvieh females have certainly outdone themselves again on this years calf crop! We hope you enjoy these pasture scenes from September 2008.
A nice Red Hemmi bull calf out of one of the prettiest cows in the herd. She goes back to the 107X cow-who was instrumental in getting our herd started. This dam’s sire is the Woodland Samuel bull.

My Season is one of our top performing herd bulls. We bought him 3 years
ago at the Iowa Beef Expo, where he was the high selling bull and we are
really glad we made the purchase. My Season is Full Brother to the national champion Full Season.

This cow never misses. A beautiful 12 year old, KKC 21Y daughter. This girl puts a standout heifer or a bull calf in the pen every year. This year’s heifer calf is out of the National Champion Heavy Equipment Bull.

Got milk? Our 84H cow certainly does-she is a great milker and always puts the pounds on her calves--this bull calf is no exception. This Red Hemmi bull calf came in at only 78 pounds and weaned off over 700 pounds at just over 6 months of age.
